Where To Shop and Save

Post numero dos in my list of saving techniques for those with little to no money!  As I have asserted before, looking good or even fashionable does not need to be expensive.  There are multiple stores that cater to the budget of young adults.

Chain Stores

  • Forever 21
  • Charlotte Russe
  • Wet Seal
  • H&M
  • Joyce Leslie
  • Target
  • TJ Maxx
  • Marshalls
Places like TJ Maxx are some of my favorite spots to shop.  Trendy tops are on sale there at usually around $15 each.  For something you may wear for one summer and then give away, that is a pretty decent price!  I always find great tops and dresses at all of the above mentioned stores.

Consignment

  • Plato’s Closet
  • Buffalo Exchange
  • Local Stores

Give consignment a serious chance.  It is becoming more and more popular and stores are raising the bar on what they can accept.  You receive almost new garments for just a fraction of the price, can’t beat that!

Thrift

Thrift stores are great as long as you have an eye out for what you want.  I will never forget my desire for a floor length, flowy pink skirt and there it was, in my size, at the local Goodwill.
