As a fashion blogger, I’m supposed to be opposed to buying obvious knock offs of designer’s work.  As a person on a budget, I am not.

The Evil Eye

I’ve been meaning to do this post since the fall.  I’m obsessed with these evil eye talismans.  Every time I see a piece of jewelry bearing the distinct eye, I seriously consider its fate as mine.  The necklace, my mom got for me at flea market.  The two matching bracelets are from a jewelry vender who comes to my school.  The other two bracelets, I bought at “my place” the jewelry store inside the surf mall on 12th and the boardwalk in Ocean City.

Color Cravings

After my cashier at H&M mentioned that my clothes looked like “lookbookclothes” and I admitted that I new exactly what he meant, we started talking about my the overall color palette of my purchases: Orange.  I go through phases with color.  Up to a few years ago, my primary color focus was black, because it matched everything.  Then, I started moving closer towards white to lighten up my wardrobe for warmer months, and to make it less depressing in general.  Every season, I tend to gravitate towards a specific color when I’m shopping.  The clear winner of this season: oranges.

Ever notice how so many colors are named after food?  (Now I’m hungry.)
